Mamod trip hammer workshop accessory dates from the mid 1980's when someone in the Mamod factory decided it would be a good idea to issue the tools without the familiar red bases, whether that was wise or not I have no idea but I don't turn many up so here is a nice one which appears unused in the Box with the Slough address which dates it between 1984 and 1990,
